Attanasio Landscape Architecture offers the core landscape architectural services to its clients in both the public and private sector in the states of Nevada and Washington. These services include:

Program Development and Narrative, Site Analysis and Digital Documentation, Master Planning, Land-Use Plans, Schematic Design, Photo Presentation, Model Development Assistance, Design Development, Opinions of Probable Construction Costs, Construction Documents, Construction Administration and Post Construction Analysis.

These services are essential to the successful evolution and completion of any project. In order to appropriately address the projects needs the site context, project program, budgets, operational considerations and long term sustainability must all be considered to produce an enduring project.

At the core of these services are the Master Planning Phase, Construction Document Phase and Construction Administration Phase.

Construction Documents

It is only through the process of developing detailed construction documents that the ideas and concepts generated by ALA during the master planning phase can be clearly detailed and ultimately constructed in the field. ALA has an understanding of construction and traditional building materials as well as how to use traditional building materials in extraordinary ways.

Design in Detail. This statement exemplifies the approach of ALA in communicating our vision to the contractor. Without the proper detailing within construction documents, designs are often misinterpreted. Along with site composition, a projects details will define and characterize the space. These detailed elements provide a sense of place that people remember and identify with. Whether the detail is in the articulation of an ornamental fence, composition of grasses, shrubs and walls or cast light onto a walkway ALA can communicate the details onto paper.

Master Planning

Not all sites are created equal. Successful exterior spaces are born from good design and master planning. It is at the master planning stage where the synthesis of site opportunities, site constraints, and visioning come together to yield a project with a sense of place. It is this sense of place which gives a project its character and identity. Attributes people can relate to and perceive.

The master planning or arrangement of space is as much about what is designed ‘in’ as what is not designed in. Overdesign yields a space confused in identity. The strength of space typically lies in its design simplicity. The arrangements must be sensible and easily engaging. Ultimately, a space not effectively master planned will never evolve into a great space for people to enjoy.

During this master planning process, ALA draws off intuition, vision and experiences to generate great exterior spaces which are responsive to the environmental context, project program, budgetary restrictions and site potential.

Construction Administration

ALA has the field experience to work in concert with many of the construction trades to ensure the design intent is met. Understanding that construction sites can offer challenges and obstacles to designs means that ALA can, when necessary, make adjustments and accommodate unforseen circumstances while ensuring design intent is met. It is the ability of ALA to quickly and effectively respond to field questions and clarifications to keep projects moving toward completion.

ALA utilizes several documentation tools including field observation reports, digital photo documentation, pre-final and final punchlists during and upon completion of construction further insuring the original design intent is met.
